Hello everyone,

My brother has asked me to build him a computer with a budget of £300-400

here's the criteria,

Preferably a BENQ monitor.
Average spec gaming PC.
Simple, slick design. No neon lights or overly designed cases.
Windows CD isn't required.

Mouse and keyboard are sorted which will be

and

Would really appreciate some ideas, preferably sticking closer to £300 than 4.

dont see you getting an intel system for that, best i could do was this and tbh i think its a bit naff i know little about AMD chips so i wont spec it.
Your not going to get close to £300 when you need a monitor as well, but if your lucky someone will prove me wrong.

Thanks Gav, I know this one's going to be tricky.

everything there looks good except the case, and don't need the monitor anymore. Would it be possible to go with a cheaper processor and slightly cleaner looking case?

no probs, all looks great although the case is the opposite of what he's after. If you could decrease the price by £100 that would be amazing. How about a cheaper CPU?

that looks better. Would be great to squeeze it down to £300. Although this might be possible within budget. Although they are cheap, would you say that the components you suggested are reliable?

Leeroy, I know what you mean. Although I might be able to get a better computer the newness of doing it through overlockers seems like a safer bet?
