Hi guys,

I am building a gaming PC after a very long time (after 9 years as I was mostly on console). The underwhelming next gen consoles pushed me in the direction of PC and hence I have decided to take the leap.

I will be playing from my couch on my 47" LG 1080p 3D TV. I want to know if this PC is well balanced and/or if there are any watch-outs I should have in mind when it comes to compatibility of the components. The following are the specs:

Graphics Card: ASUS 7970 Direct CU II TOP 3 GB
Processor: AMD FX 8320
RAM: G-Skill Rip Jaws 8 GB
Mobo: ASUS M59A7 R2.0 AM3+ motherboard
Casing: Antec One Gaming Series mid tower ATX casing
PSU: Corsair CX Series 600W 80 PLUS Bronze ATX
HDD: 120 GB Kingston and 2 TB Seagate Barracuda

Cheers!

Op what you have spec'd is a well balanced and capable system, it will play any game you can throw at it, however the intel setup will cost you less electricity and bring you slighly better frame rates in certain games.

And get that Matrix Platinum ordered soon (like, tonight) before the offer ends. It will be significantly more expensive afterwards.

Had bought the Graphics card

Hi Guys, thanks for the quick feedback.

Cant buy the 7970 Matrix as I bought the 7970 CU II Top yesterday from Overclockers... A quick question...does the DVI to HDMI converter the card ships with allow audio to be transmitted to the TV or not? Some forums say it does but i am not too sure:confused:

Cheers

Too bad as for an extra £12 you'd be getting a better card, was the matrix £236 at the time you ordered? As it was £236 to begin with then they reduced the price a little later.

No idea about the sound sorry.
