Cheers, I just feel like I may aswell go the full hog so I can play on higher settings with good performance. And perhaps give Apex & other games a shot :D

Just a shame didn't do with the bundle at the start, £100 saving :(
Might if landed you with a Vega 56 for some over kill game play !
But Apex takes everything you can give it ! Fortnite might have it's crown knocked off .
Also BFV battle royale is launched too - now that game does uses cores and threads !!!

All built and the system is running very smoothly indeed. Next on the list is an extra HDD for space.

I have a problem with windows though.. the SSD I used from my laptop purchased via OCuk which I put into my new build is coming up saying windows needs activating. I clicked the recently changed hardware option, but it would not work. Unfortunately I appear to of lost the windows key itself. Any advice on this matter? Are there cheap window keys available?

Get windows chat open, claim your mobo was damaged and was replaced , but now you have to activate windows and your panicking and you can find the Key etc... They'll reactivate it. Normally it's already been linked to your MSN account

Get a snap shot of the rig up and running :D

As above. Or if laptop is still functional, or can be made to function (sticking SSD back in for example), running Belarc Advisor will list your Windows key. Contacting Microsoft should be easier though. Just if any issues you can also try this. If you tie it down to a digital account once you get the chance then less likelihood of any similar issue in future.

Thanks gents for your help, activation sorted after a lengthy phone call with Microsoft this morning. They provided a product key in case anything similar happens again.

One final question, the Ryzen 2600 I purchased is only showing up at 3.40GHz when it said it would be 3.90GHz on the OCuk website. Any idea as to why this is?

That's it's boost speed , single to dual core .
Each enough to overclock 4ghz across all cores with that cooler :)
