Hi all,

I recently spent quite a lot of money on some new hardware and I would like your advice on how to get it running as best as possible, I have:-

ASUS A8n32-SLi motherboard
AMD 4800 X2
2 x Winfast Nvidia 7900 GTX 512
3 x SATA II 80GB drives
I was thinking about 2 - 3 GB RAM not sure what speed is best though.
Soundblaster X-Fi Music
Windows XP Professional

Can I run it in 64-bit Windows?
What things can I change in the BIOS to get more speed in games?

Thanks for your help

Go for 2GB of RAM it will be far better for your system, and much better for overclocking and stability.

Yes you can.

Up the FSB in bios, change the HTT/FSB Freq to 2.5 or 3. Make sure it is prime stable and check your memory with memtest.

Saying that though your system should run every game with full eye candy with no problems at all.

Thanks Murzo,

One quick question, while I'm in the process of building, I noticed that in order to get my Sound card into the machine I have to put it between the two graphics cards, will this affect the cooling of the cards?
Do other SLi mobos have additional PCI slots? I bought the ASUS A8N32-SLi because it had dual 16x PCIe slots and my graphics cards are both 512MB.

It will be a real pain if I have to use the onboard sound.

This should not really effect the graphics card that much to be honest with you...

As for the PCI slots... you will notice that with most modern boards there are not many PCI slots, which I find a right pain
