Hey guys,

I've got an urge to do something create with an old 5litre Desperados keg I've got lying around.

I would quite like some form of NAS for backups from multiple systems (both Windows and Macintosh) with a terabyte of storage.

We use an Apple Airpot Extreme router at home and according to this you can turn a simple USB drive into NAS without the hassle of the extra components needed.

I have two WD5000AAKS drives handy so I was thinking of sticking them in there, with a fan or cooling of some variety and then connect both of them to the router via single USB connection.

I have no idea if this can be done, but I'm keen on learning so I would really appreciate any suggestions/advice on what would be best.

The keg: (I'll get some proper pictures up soon)

What do you reckon? What would you do?

Thanks :)
