Building a new rig [need help]

Ok im going to build a i7 rig and im stuck on graphics cards, Should i stick with my 4890 and get another for this rig with a mobo that supports crossfire or the EVGA X58 SLI LE Intel X58 mobo with a geforce 285 card and soon as i have the money get another? but i have read that ati are bringing out dx11 cards this year and geforce will be out next year sometimes so would i be better of waiting for dx11? and use my 4890 intill there out?

Read the sig rules before you do anything else, you are breaking them.

1, Do not buy a GTX285.

2, The 4890 will hold you fine for now, see what ATI come out with in a week and then decide if you a, want to buy the 5870 and sell the 4890 or maybe buy a 2nd cheap 4890.

So are the 5870 out this week? and so your saying i should stick with ati and get a crossfire ready x58 mobo?

The 23rd is the hard launch, so expect them to be "properly" available by the end of the month.

As far as I know all x58 mobos support Xfire and SLI, so that shouldn't be an issue, jsut stick with your 4890 for now and see what comes around, if you decide you don't want a 5850/70/x2 then maybe either stay with the 4890 or pick up a 2nd one on the cheap and wait for Nvidias offerings next year.

That sounds cool, I read "leaked" specs and sounds good, if its what they say or better with a good price i will prob pick one up soon as i can get one as ati are cheaper but good cards, i was just thinking about nvidia because a lot of the good games are designed with them.
