Building a TINY gaming PC for my girlfriend

Surely for £40 more going from a 260 to a 270 would be better? if money is being saved on the PSU?

What happened to your budget?

I've pushed a little to cater for the SSD.

no psu and the 260x is cheaper and just as good as the 750ti

Case comes pre-installed with a 380w, which will do fine (I would have thought) if it has the right connections. I'm a nvidia fan, I know, I'm being pathetic and childish, but Intel and Nvidia are the 2 companies in tech stuff I don't deviate from, I have before and each time it's left me with a sour taste in my mouth. So on that basis, I have stuck to intel and nvidia and don't mind paying 10% more to do so.

Case has a 500w Antec unit

Ok.

Do you need 120gb SSD & 8GB RAM?

If you're pushing the budget, I would highly recommend leaving the SSD & getting a 260/270. Also, if you have access to the MM, you'd get a bargain for RAM there too!

380w? And my thinking is she will be playing around with photoshop and movie editing software a lot, she is rather artsy.

So the SSD will help with loading photoshop and stuff and the ram will help when it comes to gaming.

In my eyes, spend a little more now, save the hassle down the line.

So, on that basis, my cart ok?

Case only has a 380w psu

Typ-o ;)

The board only really supports 1600, so limitations to speed may apply. If you have the patience, I'd get on the MM for 8GB RAM (£40-45) and use the spare cash for either a quicker SSD or g/card.

Sadly, no patience at the moment, I've left it until last minute (I'm a man...) and I need it ordered today.

And I only have 1600 ram and can't see the time where I would benefit from more...

We will get the 1TB drive at some point in a couple of weeks, I have a couple of .5TB drives
