How about you get all the components and see if you can build it yourself? It really isn't that hard - it's essentially like playing with lego, just plugging bits together. You'll be able to do you own upgrades in future too. :)

John I suspect this will get moved to the general hardware section. Have a little read around the forums and I'm sure you'll be able to build it yourself. It's essentially plugging in some cables here and there.

ok its the chip...core bits im worried about ..you have to put some cream stuff on or something .. i'm abit heavy handed ..my mates say i have hands like mechanicel grabbers my nicknames is shrek u get my drift...lol

Even Shrek could put a PC together :)

The one and only rule of putting together a PC is not to do it how Jacob Billing tells you to do it!

I see there's a college near you (probably has a few geeks willing to make some extra money)... so maybe if you put an ad in the paper, or ask friends if they have a computer savvy son/daughter, you'll more than likely find somebody. Or you could build it yourself, it really isn't that hard... just be careful not to bend pins, for example.

hopefully these will help you:

(part one is choosing components, and its already out of date so i havent linked it. the general hardware bit of OcUK can deal with that though)

also, dont worry about installing the cooler. i chose a pretty hard one for my first ever install and the only mistakes i made was sticking the cooler to the instruction maual with those double sided sticky pads

Although I do think you should try the build yourself, if you need help john. Email in trust, I do live close by.

just so you know, you'll need more of a psu than the one you've listed.

as mentioned there fairly easy to put together, just make sure you give yourself plenty of time so you don't rush, as much space as possible and decent light so you can see all the bits/inside the case nice and clear.
