Hello I have been recommended to ask for advice on what best parts I can buy for my build, I'm happy to spend up to £500 for everything including case so I probably have £450-£460. I don't need mouse, keyboard or monitor as I intend to use 42" TV in living room, I would ideally like at least 1TB HDD and a big enough graphics card to play mmorpg game called runescape in maxed graphics without any/little lag, also play gears of war maybe a few others at later date. I also have 2 120gb hard drives which I hope to add aswell. Thanks

£500 is massively overkill for Runescape, no need to spend that much. Gears of War won't be that intensive either.
However, when you say "a few others" what do you mean?
 
As of now... Nothing but I do tend to like the simpler games which are usually the older ones lol, as long as I can max out runescape to its best graphics without any problems, have lots of space, speed & deal with games easily I'm happy, I did say upto £500 I don't HAVE to spend that just want a good system since all I have at min is an iPad.

1. The cases you listed are approximately 1/5th of your budget. It's too much. That will greatly reduce the quality you can squeeze into the computer for £500. Personally, I'd go for £20-50 cases that already include front and rear fans for cooling. Have a look at the Aerocool V3X Advance cases for example -

3. What type of hard drives are your two 120GB's and what do you intend to use them for? Does one already contain an OS?

You can go for a cheaper mobo to get it down to £500 but the 990FX is worth paying a few more quid for imo.

Decentish spec danny.

Id change the motherboard for a 970 EVO. And the case to anyging better. An asgard pro maybe.

Also the 6300 is better value than the 6350.

OP: I would bother adding the other 2 120gb hard drives. A 1tb will be enough.

1. Thanks a lot Danny this is more than I expected, much appreciated. I choose the case because I was told I was basically asking for too little for my money so shifted some lol

2. Yes I oready have Windows 7 Home edition, which is stored to 1 of the hhd, they are out of a 8 year old but goodish spec computer. The hhd connections slots are since the update but could still be no good for a new system but worth a try, The idea was run the OS off 1 have the other for my music (I have quite a lot since I have always saved it to this hhd) & 1TB for storage space

Admittingly I do prefer your case, as it's going to be in my living room exposed this is something I could do with looking pretty lol but the price seems to be going up :( I'm going to compare the 2 and see what I thinks best but if anybody as any better ideas I would appreciate them :)

You're welcome. Look forward to hearing how it goes.

The fans on the Source (nice case) are positioned on the rear (120mm) and top (140mm), and they both look to be in exhaust position from what can be seen in the pics. So there's no intake at the moment. No cool air flowing across the mobo in particular.

The front fan mounts are designed for 2 x 120mm's so you can't put the 140mm there (unless it turns out you can...). There are screw holes for a 140mm on the side panel I believe, but any intake there will get warmed up by the video card, and not really benefit the mobo/CPU, so I would only use an extra third fan (if you ever get another) on the side panel as a bonus to help cool the card.

What I'd do if I were you is move the 140mm fan to the other fan mount next to it on the top, turn it around so it intakes, and that will provide some air flow across the mobo/CPU as the rear fan pulls.

Then again, maybe you have extra fans from your older build that you can use as well.

Thanks for this info, something I never put much though into. According to the description I can fit upto 7 120mm fans so I will make sure there's a flow across the mobo some way or another, but yes I'll take pictures soon as it's built, I have just got an anti-static bracelet ready, comp should be here within the next few days :)
