first, hello to everybody!
so, im building my first pc and im looking for some advise.my knowlege about computers are basic.have been reading this forum for a while and thats what my build looks like.
im not sure about that build, so im asking pc vets to look at it

Why not go for the new SandyBridge? I definitely would. Get yourself a i5-2500K. They hugely outperform i5-760 for a few pounds extra.
Also, you don't need thermal paste as the Arctic Cooler Pro will have some pre-applied... unless there is a specific reason?

Unfortunately, that motherboard won't be compatible. You need the one with a P67 chipset, like the Asus P8P67 Intel P67 for £129.98. Everything else looks fine, just double check on the memory compatibility but I'm sure that it will work.

No, it's a new processor socket and chipset. You'll need a different motherboard to take the new cpus, but they're much faster, and everything else in your build can stay the same.

and one more question, may sound stupid, but anyway.how long wires have novadays mouse and keyboard?thats if i decide to go for wired mouse and keyboard.havent used PC for years...

I would go for the P67 chipset and not H67. P67 is for enthusiast, they will allow you to overclock your CPU should you wish to in the future. I'm not too sure what other differences there are but H67 is not as good.

To answer your second question, wired keyboard/mouse usually have a length of 1.5m to 2m. I went to wireless, as its much more convenient and i don't have wires all over the place.

It does, but its no substitute for dedicated graphics so I would stick to the 5850 if you plan to use your PC for gaming.

i'm ordering parts in two weeks.i'm not sure about the asus p67 board anymore.seems lots of people have issues with them. think im gonna go for msi p67a-gd55 as its in the same price range as asus p8p67. or i should better get msi p67a-gd65?

I would get the Foxconn P67A-S personally. A no-nonsense board with 8x/8x Crossfire support, very good at overclocking and USB3.0 and SATA 6GB/s.

Cheaper as well

I'm sure plenty have it, and it can't be bad or OcUK wouldn't stock it.

I know a few forums members Foxconn boards, all think they are very good (only bad comment I've heard is about support for RMA)

It is.
That means that you can put 4 ram sticks in and they'll run in two channels.

2200MHz is the maximum speed the board will run out of the box (you can overclock it past that but no need).
