Okay fitted my psu/hdd/cd drive.

Ive now got to take my motherboard from the old case and put it into the new case. Any suggestions on what I should do? Simply unscrew, lift and place it into the new case. Should i touch the case before i touch the motherboard to clear static?

Do i also need to use standoffs? I believe the Lancool pc 62 has gold rings aka standoffs already on the case, so im guessing i just need to align the board on it and with the backpanel, then screw them not too hard into position.

Then im guessing all thats left, is to install the Graphics card, and plug everything into the mobo?

Thanks

Just double check the standoffs in your new case, once your happy, it's pretty much how you described in your thread :)

Thanks mate, got some problems. Cant get the mobo out my old case, unplugged all but the 20pin power plug and another one, theyre not budging and i dont want to damage anything. any tips?

Okay i removed the psu itself so i got more room to play with, just need to remove the 24pin power one now. After i remove the mobo, is it okay to put it on a desk whilst i just prepare the fresh case and remove wires and put backplate in?

EDIT i also can't get the card out, one side seems to be edged out, but the other side isnt budging

Theres a pin/leaver on the right hand side of the pci slot that the graphics card is sat in, you need to push it then pull out the graphics card

Thanks, would the mobo be okay on a desk whilst i sort the case out?

Ive seen people put their mobo everywhere, on carpet etc, but i always put mine on an anti-static bag just incase, you normally get one when you order new parts. If you dont then a flat hard surface should be fine, such as a table

I cant wedge this 24pin thing out the mobo in my old case, shall i be rougher with it? or could i damage the mobo. Cheers for your help sofar by the way mate

Theres also a leaver on the 24 pin connector, make sure your pushing that to while pulling. and it is a pretty tough connector to get out. You can pull it but dont be to hard on it. If you push the leaver, it should be no harder to unplug then pulling a 4-pin molex out of the DVD drive/HDD

Theyre were stand-offs already in. Im trying to align need, and need to put pressure on it to get into the backplate/align with the standoffs, then its just to tricky to use my fingers to screw it in.
