Nah, the questions are fine. We all started somewhere. :)

Programmes have to be written to take advantage of multiple cores. Anything taking advantage of more than 4 cores is still relatively rare for the normal person. As a result, the Intel wins out.

Think of it this way (in terms of roads): The AMD has 8 slow lanes whereas the Intel has 4 faster lanes. (yes, I know this is overly simplified, but still, it works)
 
ok so i was thinking if i wait a while it might be better to save up and get an all out better computer right and not just one that will do the job so can some one check and comment on this please ?
