Ticks mean i've already got it.

This is what i had in mind.

Monitor : Benq e220hd ✓
Speakers : Logitech LS21 - Have a headset for Gaming anyway ✓
Mouse : Razer Deathadder
Keyboard : Logitech G110
Mousepad : Razer Vespula ✓
Case: Coolermaster HAF 912 Case
Power Supply: Corsair 1000W
CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155
Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair IV Formula - AMD 890FX - Socket AM3 Motherboard
Cooler: Corsair H70 CPU Cooler
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB 6GB/s SATA-II 32MB Cache
Graphics Card: ATI radeon hd 6950 Crossfire
Sound: Realtek 7.1 Channel Sound (On-Board)
Optical Drive: LG 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter

Idk what video card to get because Atm i have an Asus Ati 5770 which is alright for some games but on 1920x1080 it's not amazing on demanding games like Far cry 2, crysis etc. I want a card which will easily run 1920x1080 for games coming out this year and maybe some next on high with maybe 2xAA which doesnt really bother me much. I'm also willing to crossfire so i might look into buying either 5870's or 6970's.

for that sort of money you should be going for a 2500k, they are far better than the 1090t at any clock tbh, also the 6990 is a waste of money, you can get two 6950's for around £400 and is the sameish performance :) someone else probably knows better than me and could do a full spec :)

hmm power supply is a bit short (if you plan sli later), but can go with the XFX black 850W, with saving £20 on case (with the HAF for example). Or downgrade the G110 for a Sidewinder X4.

56A on +12V is still OK for 570 SLI and overclocking I would think.

You could downgrade to a i5 2500k if you only want to game. For games the 2500k has the exact same performance as the 2600k. If you only want to game get the 2500k but if you are doing encoding and stuff that needs hyperthreading get a 2600k

The money that saves could be invested into a modular psu.

Tbh i know nothing about computers, lol haha :)
I dont really see how Intel is that much superior to AMD i mean 6 core 1090t is cheaper than a quad core i7 920 and the AMD is faster. Also should i not go for 2 6970's instead of 2 6950's? i wanna play crysis 2 on pc at around 40+ FPS at 1920x1080 and i might upgrade to 1920x1200 monitor if its worth it?

you can unlock the 6950's to make them into 6970s

The 6 core is slower in games to the newer generation intel chips, and can clock extremely high (4.5Ghz + ) which should show a greater performance to the 1090t

I'm looking at the difference between crossfire 6950's and 70's and the difference is pretty low so yeah i'll probably go with them cheers :)
Also i'll probably upgrade to intel now but i forgot to mention that i'll be rendering
quite a bit in Sony Vegas and After Effects at 1280x720, so yeah the intel will only be a little slower than the AMD i'm assuming?

Okay so this is how it's looking so far, since im not getting the 6990 anymore i wont need as big a case and what Mobo supports them? Also if you are really awesome can you tell me what fans i need because i literally have no clue xD
Btw is thermal paste really that neccesary cz my brother has a custom built and he didnt use it on his athlon

I'm not a fan of xfire / sli. For me, I'd take the best single card possible, without going silly. A 6950 / 6970 / GTX 560 / 570 / GTX 580 is plenty of power, especially with single display.

As for AMD versus Intel, I will always recommend a Sandy versus even a AMD hex core if you can afford it. It would seem silly to miss out on the performance of a 2500K or even a 2600K with such a budget.

BTW, I have a 1055T, and I have no qualms about it but if the choice was mine, I'd go with the 2500K everytime.

For the case, the Lancool is one of the best deal for £100. Of course you have other choices with a tighter budget, but keep in mind that if you gonna go with a mid-tower, you'll need plenty of room for the 6950 / 580 graphics card. That sometimes means removable hard drive bay, like in the HAF 912.

For the PSU, even with SLI, 850W will be plenty.

And for the cooler, if you want to go hydro, the Antec is an awesome little performer. Else for the same money, a top air cooler like the Venomous X, prolimatech megahelm, or the daddy the NH-D14 that comes with its own fans (so it is actually good value).

If you don't want to go with a mental CPU cooler, then a Akasa Venom, Titan Fenrir Evo, CNPS10X, Thermaltake Frio will do a good job.

For the RAM, probably don't need to spend so much. And you have to be careful with the size of the heat spreader if you gonna use a huge cooler.

For the motherboard, the MSI is good value. I wouldn't spend over £130 on the board, as long as it's got what you need (SATA 6GB, USB3, SLI, ESATA?, Firewire?).

BTW, you didn't specify about the OS. Hopefully not something you've overlooked.

Oh yeah, I've added a SSD. They are awesome as a fast system drive (people used to go for Raptor drives for that purpose, but SSDs are something else).
