Hi,

Looking to build a new Pc, over the years have lost track on whats good and whats not. It will mainly be used as a gaming PC, with storage for media. I have linked my basket of what I think is a good build. Do all the components work together and is there anything that can be changed which will perform just as well for less.

Ignore the case its gonna to house my old components.

I'd go for a comparable AMD build:

Perhaps something along the lines of:

A budget would be helpful. Also, what PSU are you using ?

well....having recently built an AMD system for a guy at work...I must say i was very impressed with the newer AMD chips....it was a dual core system and it really flys....put a single 4890 in it and it plays his games very well....so maybe save some money and get an AMD chip aand board...and go for DDR3 while you at it. I am seriously concidering an AMD system next time i build one as its cheaper but still a fast machine...just my tuppence worth ;)

LOL....as GK7 says....jsut seen it :)

My existing spec is as in my signature and wanted it to be better then that.

I would say my budget is around £500, upto £750 if its worth it.

Yes I guess a PSU would be helpful, but not sure what power PSU i would require.

To put it in perspective the last time I built my own computer was when the P4 were new.
