Building new system. Unsure on few things

The way I see it, I could spend £160 now and then in a years time want to upgrade my system and the 2600k may be the only upgrade available for my motherboard before having to replace the motherboard etc.... so then Id have to spend another £200+ to upgrade the CPU, where as I could just spend an extra £60 now ..... Makes sense in my head but I dont always think clearly :)

I think you should spend a bit more time on deciding the case. Antec 100 is not a bad case, but there are certainly better cooling/looking cases at a high price. If you are planning on using the same case for your next upgrade as well, I would strongly suggest you decide on a case that you like (and of course decent cooling), as you will be spending years looking at it.

Ive never heard of IvyBridge, Is that Intels next series in processors? So maybe Id be better off getting a 2500k. :)
I do intend on getting a SSD, deffinately. Just not straight away.
Case. I agree Marine, Need a good one. Not so bothered about the way it looks. Just want a seriously good cooling one. What do you recommend

it's a die shrink of Sandybridge (22nm vs 32nm), meaning more efficient, easier to cool, and higher clocks.

Depends on budget. In order...

Antec 100.
Zalman Z9.
HAF 912 / Storm Enforcer (same setup).
Lancool PC-K62.
Silverstone Raven RV02B-EW / RV02W-EW (or RV03, I prefer the 02 layout).
HAFX.
Silverstone FT02W.

Gone back to what I was originally suggested, added a few extra items though. All I believe I need now is a graphic card which I will get later on, will use my current 4870 until then. How does this look now, should I change anything?

Will get a graphic card in a few weeks. Gona use the 4870 until then

Thanks for all the help guys

nice build, although you would have gotten a better/newer/bigger SSD if you went for the i5 2500k, could have gone for a better case as that case is getting old now :D apart from that it's solid spec, good luck and enjoy :)

Ah well im happy with it for the price

Only question I do have is about the PSU, does it come with a Power lead or do I need to buy one seperately?

That PSU will work fine with my motherboard wont it? And everything is compatible I hope :o
