Building PC - PSU Question

If there is only one 4 pin on the mobo then you just plug one in and leave the other out. Some mobos have an 8 pin rather than 4 pin so that's what the other one is for

Does it matter if at some point this spare 4 pin connector touches the motherboard?

Thanks for the help!

Belongs it's not in direct contact with the internal metal pins with metal on the board it should be fine.

Get some cables ties and tie it out the way if concerned.

Just loop it back on itself and cable tie it out of the way. It shouldn't matter if it touches but if you have cables everywhere it will kill your airflow. Try to keep unused cables tied out of the way in an unused 5 1/4" bay if possible

Yeah cheers mate, it's gone in. Just wanted to double check before I try putting it in.

Thanks for all the help! It's appreciated.

One more final question, I promise this is the last!

When connecting the the power button and the reset buttons at the front to the motherboard, can I just confirm the white wires are - and the coloured wires are + ?

Thanks again!

Cheers mate, got it all in.

It booted up and I got the insert operating disc message which is good.
