If your going to build your own case the only question i have atm is were do i put the motherboard because in cases you just screw them into the case but im thinking to build my own out of wood and clear plastic sort of like a desk almost so if people could just give me little tips and how to put a motherboard somewere as thats the only thing i cant think of what i would need?

If you're building your own then the only limit is your imagination really. As far as motherboard placement goes you just need to drill out the ATX (or whatever size motherboard you have) stand-off positions and bolt the motherboard in.

Check this out - a good example of what can be achieved.

If you have a psu in the Corsair AX/AXi/TXM/HX range then you can buy replacement cables that plug directly into the unit. I think EVGA are also doing cables for their psu's.

Failing that you would have to look at rebraiding, or just hiding the cables that come out of the psu body.
