[Buildlog] 900D My 1st watercooled rig

Looks like the build is coming together... very nice :)

Those tubes connected to the QDC from the CPU block to the res, don't you think they are quite long?

The tubes are slightly long, but i wanted to avoid any form of kink or slight bend, so i was playing it abit on the safe side. especially this being my 1st watercooled build.

I did want it to be res>pump>UT45 rad>UT60 rad>CPU>GPU>RES

But the QDC is too big. and i didnt want the tube to bend too much. so i decided on this config and i actually quite like it, becuase it looks pretty neat and uniform.

The hardware will be changed maybe end of the year or early next and an extra 240 rad will probably added to the loop, so things will change and hiopefully then i can sort the tubing to the way i wanted it to

quick question, how'd you mount the rad at the bottom, did you buy any fittings or mod them yourself?

The bottom part of the case will be compatible with 360 or 480 rad by default, there is no modification needed to mount the rad there. unless of course Blame did something out of the norm.

Thanks for kind comments guys!

The Rads just bolt onto the brackets that are provided. There really is not modifying need to fit the rads. everything is well thought out.

So 4 hours of leak testing! 1 leak! that was from the bottom rad where i didnt one of the plugs tight enough. but apart from that it went super smooth!!!

I also brought some Bitfenix sleeved cables. wanted to go custom, but until i get a full modular PSU it will have to do for now.

But one big annoying factor is the 24pin ATX extension is a different red to the rest of the cables. its slightly faded. like a pinkish kinda red whereas the rest is deep red.

I'm planning something similar and just wondering how many of your 5¼" drive bays are useable with the top mounted rad?
I'll only be using 1 set of fans (and an SR-1), but hoping to have 3 slots free as well as enough room in the top slot of a fan controller.

Took me ages to find the brackets to bolt the rad on that side :D

Looks amazing :)

Did you have any issues mounting the bottom rad that way with the front corsair fans?

There is limited space ont he top 5.25 bay, but its still possible to mount a fan controller depending on how wide it is. ii mounted my FC touch on the second bay.

Yes it is a lot of fans, but all the rad fans are running on 40% speed. and the case fans are on 7v. so its really quiet. will be wiring the case fans to the fan controller later to reduce noise further.

The sp's was pretty easy to mount just needed some spacers becuase the bolts are slightly too long.

havent sorted out the lighting yet and need to tidy the cables abit more. but jsut enjopying it for now after 6months of waiting for this case! :D

And im already thinking about adding a alphacool 240 ST30 rad to the bottom and a 240 monsta at the front jsut because theres room! :D

And heres a before and after tidy up on the back. There is so room at the back!

The main complaint i have about the case is the brackets at the back that tie the cables down, they snap so easy! i snapped 2!

Will be taking some proper photos with my SLR once i get my lighting sorted.
