hi

ive finished building my pc ,me thinks :)

ive got a few questions to get of my mind

1.in my lian li 7plus case the hdd bay has space for 3 drives ive placed mine at the very bottom is that ok as wires were in the way everywhere else?

2.for my dvd rom ive used a 4pin peripheral power connector with 2 other spare connectors(molex) which i connected my case fans on is it ok to have the dvd drive and fans using the same cable going to the corsair520w psu?

3.i used a sata 3gbs connector on my hd i was a bit confused where it should go on my ds4 mobo as there is 4 different sockets ( 1 controlled by gigabyte sata2 and 3 controlled by ICH8R) i put it in the ICH8R is that correct)

thankyou for your help :)

1.) Doesn't matter where your put them as long as the wires reach

2.) It's fine

3.) It should be plugged into SATA1 (Should be identified on the motherboard, if not, check the manual)

4.) Use your other thread instead of starting a new one ;)

cheers for that

just one thing do i need to use the cd in connector on the motherboard to get audio (dvd rom audio out to cd in connector on mobo)

do i have to do this ?

or will i get sound

Nah, you should get sound. Pretty much all drives these days support DAE so the sound will come through the data cable :) Either way, if you don't get sound from the CD (And it will be very unlikley that you don't get sound) then you know what the problem is

my question 2 , ive changed a bit instead of putting the 4pin molex fan connectors into the power connector cable from the psu ive made one free by using the y-adapter for fans only?

so now it has the power from the psu going to the dvd rom then to the y-adapter for both fans so ive got a spare connector now?

just have to get my monitor and try it out tomorrow :)

cheers

Ditch the y-splitter, put it back how it was :) Will be better that way- I know it's only fans and they don't draw that much power but it's just good practice really. Good luck
