Hey ok I did my pricing for i5 but as it turns out i cannot afford it so my next option bulldozer the AMD Bulldozer FX-6 Six Core 6100 Black Edition 3.30Ghz (Socket AM3+) Processor - Retail [FD6100WMGUSBX ]. So my next question is cpu cooler should I go out and buy a cpu cooler or should I stick with stock fan I plan to over clock this but can I ask how do I over clock this?
The motherboard is Asus M5A99X EVO AMD 990X (Socket AM3+) DDR3 PCI-Express ATX Motherboard. I would like to know how overclock this I read somewhere that this needs core disables so that only levees 4 cores to overclock but is there a way to overclock all cpu cores?
I might not overclock them if it hard to do or me be option automatic overclock any one knows of any?

Also I plan on getting this memory would this Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B) [CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B]
work with this motherboard?

yeah would imagine the Corsair would be fine for the board, haven't heard anything about disabling cores with the FX-6100, so far as I have read they are fine overclocking with all cores enabled. if you want to overclock its always recommended to go with a better cooler than the stock one, they are fine for day to day usage slightly overclocked usually speaking but for serious clocks a better cooler is a must. :) on another note should be able to pick up an X6 for less than that second hand, for another option or would imagine there would be a lot of Intel parts around on auctions sites that might be worth a look at unless you are dead set on the FX-6100. :p

I don't see how Intel is too dear, if you're not going to be overclocking, get a H61 board with a 2500k, then change the motherboard in the future? Or save some money and just get the 2400/2500.

Hell, this is so much better ;

oh wow 409 well this sounds good then
but the Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - OEM [BX80623I52500K] does this come with cpu fan?

hey i mage to find the Intel Core i5 2500K 3.3GHz Socket 1155 6MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor for £170 with Free Delivery Available!!! know thats a deal no I am sure this comes with cpu fan as well:)

Oh, I knew they're available elsewhere, and that's a mighty good deal.
But yes, like I proved, an Intel system can be fit into your budget.

if not overclocking why not even try find a 2500 non K variant, the K is only really useful to someone with an intent to overclock, otherwise it is just a waste of time...

Edit: also to be honest wouldn't touch Bulldozer at the moment, would rather wait for B3 too see what that does for power consumption and heat output. so for you the Intel route seems best without a doubt!

well I did buy a cpu a i5 for 159.50 that’s the best deal it was action so I am happy know going to buy the other parts too. too bad you at overclockers don’t do free p&p for shipping option or even if you go over £100 me be have an option for free p&p for shipping option. I plan to overclock this as well at 4.6 or 4.7 I hope. with 8 gb of ram. If I need more ram then I can always buy more.
