In your own house. You should never beat up a burglar. If you're going to do it go all the way. Nobody knows where they were, no crime scene, just make sure you burn or bury the body deep.

A few years ago, one made his way in at about 11am, while I was asleep (only me in the house). I heard the loud noise (kicked the back door in) and checked out where it was coming from. Looked downstairs, and saw a teenager, probably 16, with a hammer (ours). My body went in shock mode. I didn't expect this to happen at all...once he saw me, he froze for like 5 seconds, and ran like ****.

I didn't chase him reason being I was still half asleep and in my boxers! and that I was quite shaken by the whole event. The amount of times I hear people saying "I'll kick the **** outta them" etc, makes me laugh. Easier said than done.
