Burning AVI's to DVD-R, what program?

Just wondering what is the best program to use to do this, as I've used a few in the past and it's all gone a bit wrong. So I'm wondering, is Nero 7 still the best way to go?

Giving ConvertXtoDVD a go now, atm the file is converting, I assume it begins to burn after this?

Yes it will start burning automatically.

IMO this is the best AVI to DVD program out there in terms of ease of use & quality.

I used to swear by WinAVI for the fact that it converts loads of things into lots of things, but I find that the videos are often a little jerky... Not bad, but enough.

Never had anythign other than a perfect 100% success rate with CXtoDVD

Vobsub works well with WinAvi but I have never had any success with ConvertXtoDVD so I tend to have both installed

Depends, what is your playback device? Can it play back those AVI's? If so just burn it off as data.

Always use nero7 to burn to folder on hd, then make dvd's from that source.

I just to use this untill it started burning dvd's with only 1mb pf data on it.

I now use easy avi, it converts avi to dvd and burns them to dvd in less time than it takes to watch a film.
