Also don't forget OSX inbuilt "Burn Folder" functionality if you're just burning some data to a disc:

(That's for 10.5 but I don't think it's changed much)

I've never needed to use anything other than the apps which came with the OS, the Burn Folders or Disk Utility.

I'd vouch for Toast, the new ones are brilliant, so easy to use and loads of nice features.
