Burnout Paradise To Get Motorbikes and MORE!

People (Daily Mail) will probably start kicking up a stink about extreme crashes and stuff. I am curious though about how they are going to do it.

as long as they dont use motorstorm rider crash foetus physics this is gonna be cool

im surprised i never heard of this before!

i bet gta will have some extreme crash physics

but that will be pretty insignificant in comparison to all the nasty drugs/guns/crime in that game!!!

Should have been available in the game from day 1, another example of developers releasing their work not completely finished.

No amount of gimmicks will make me want to go back to it.

i thought the game was great - adding great new content like this adds longevity and replay value

and if its free...
why complain?

In the article they only say that the bikes will be in the august update, not that they will make night driving possible.

And why does it take another 4 months to deliver that when they have had plenty of time already?

Well I'm just saying to me it seems like a waste of time to add these so long after release, they should have been included in the original game which we all paid £40 for...

I'm not against new free content at all, I just hate that developers are being pressured by their publishers to release somewhat imperfect/feature-cut games because they can just patch it in later.

I'm guessing many people will not experience the new content simply because Burnout Paradise doesn't really have much longevity or replay value, at least it doesn't to me.

Bikes could be an interesting addition.... is this just a fad tho? ie PGR4 came with bikes, is everything going to follow?

Can Bike physics be implemented properly in what is essentially a car game.

The bikes on Test Drive Unlimited were initially the best thing to ride/race when the game first appeared.......

Then the handling was screwed over in a patch update :(

On the Criterion site, they mention night driving plus the fact that there will be less traffic then. Also, the riders will magically disappear when the bike crashes.

This update seems more of an patch to me, with various bug fixes. The one with the bikes will be a chargeable add-on. Having said that, most other publishers would take the new maps & bikes, re-market the lot by calling it 'Burnout: Prologue' and charging anything from £25-£40 for it. :D

The next update is more interesting though; 1080i support, custom soundtracks on PS3, and cool new online modes...

Yeah I agree, can't wait for that one.

I'm glad I've kept Burnout now :)

I hope the bikes handle well, like say the way they do in the motogp series. I never really liked the way they rode in pgr4, felt a bit clumsy.
