Just did a simple tweak with the intel matrix drivers and :eek: Burst speeds

Thought it must be an error so I ran another test with the same result!
 
That's impresive lol :p

But I don't see how that can work, the ports cant transfer anywere near that speed? :confused:

SATA II is 300MB/s and.. just... what?...

The data won't be coming from the drives themselves, it'll be down to a quirk int he way the matrix RAID accesses the disks. The small volumes used in the burst test are probably being buffered entirely within the southbridge so the only bottleneck is the main system bus - hence the 3GB/s reading.
