There are plenty of monitors that were around 3 years ago that are still fine for use today. Are they using the latest cutting edge technology, HDR etc... no, of course not, so extrapolate that forward and you will obviously find monitors 3 years from now have features/tech that monitors today don't. But that doesn't mean a monitor you buy today won't be perfectly fine in 3+ years from now.

If you want the latest tech then you never stop having to buy new things, but that's not what we're talking about.

Of course! Why would it not be compatible with that resolution? That doesn't make any sense.

This might be a useful video to answer your 200Hz question... bottom line, subtle difference...
