Buy PS4 Slim and NOT PS4 Pro?

Erm. I'm not getting into an internet argument over this. But I'm pretty sure the Xbox, power wise is inferior to the PS4 pro.

I don't have a 4k TV. I have a 32" 1080p TV. It won't get changed until 2019 the earliest.

Playing online is £30 a year not £50

Games can also be had for a lot cheaper than £50 too

I believe I saw a pro for £275 on HUKD at some point but I may be mistaken. Probably used some sort of discount code, etc.

Also controllers can be had for a lot cheaper than £50 too.

You seemed to have picked up on RRP / Game pricing rather than the cheapest available.

I bought my pro from a local HMV for £301 and watch dogs 2 thrown in. Loads of deals about.

Very had a deal I mentioned it on other page. 50 cash back so making the pro sub 350 doesn't matter you bought a slim if your happy with it then all that matters

if you can afford it, go for the Pro as it will always have the best versions of games.

Not true at all, usiing it on my 1440p - so technically games run at 1080p and definitely a big increase in some games over my vanilla ps4.

I've been looking at upgrading mine for the pro (friend got one about two weeks ago). The reviews seem to suggest it's a minimal improvement on the few games which have the pro patch. I've watched the last of us on the pro and saw no difference :confused:

maybe I need my eyes testing.

The youtube videos (I know it's not a good test) show only a bit better AA at long distances, backed up by the people making the videos.

I don't know, I mean I could sell my ps4 for what £125 and pay £225 for the pro?

I got about £200 for my original PS4 and upgraded to the Pro on release date for £300. Well worth the extra even just for the faster loading speeds.

I have a 65" 4K TV and went back to XB over PS as the Pro is inferior to the XB1S. Though the OP has already bought the Slim so this thread is irrelevant.

I would go for the slim because once the PS5 comes out, it will feel like more of an upgrade compared to upgrading from a PS4 Pro.

Enjoying my original PS4 and don't plan on upgrading it until PS5 comes out. Only use it for the exclusives.

We got a PS4 pro, if my TV wasn't 4k, I probably would have opted for the slim too.

Just Got a PS4 slim for 200 gbp with COD Something or other (crap game), but have a plain hd tv. Couldn't justify the pro price. Will hang on and enjoy PS4 vanilla. I really can't see the games market doing a big swing to pro as the new standard it would just split the community too much. Hoping to enjoy (belatedly) some good games from this generation, then rinse a load of cash on PC VR in 2018 ish. Hope I've nade a good move, but feels right so far. Won't be going 4K tv for at least a year, again, can't justify the move.
