hi all

so building a set up and was wondering what does everyone do when it comes to purchasing....

Do you all save up and buy the largest memory SSD within your budget or do you buy a SSD that would suffice until you need more memory?

I dont know whether to go outright and buy a 1TB Samsung 840 SSD now and have plenty of memory for my games, music, films, Graphics work etc. Or buy a 512GB Crucial and then get another one some other time.

Descisions lol

thanks

Personally I'd buy a smallish, 128GB or 256GB drive for your windows OS and commonly used applications (where you will notice biggest difference), and then install games that you are currently playing to the SSD drive so that they load quickly.

You can always add another larger SSD later :)

its all down to your budget really.

if you have the money then get a 1TB drive if you are after a SSD but don't have a huge budget for the 1TB drive then get a 250GB drive and use a HDD to store large files\games on to as this is what i did.

OS and map loading games on the SSD, steam library all on the HDD

I've got a 60gb ssd for o/s and some apps such as Office still got around 10gb free, Got a 120gb and 250gb for games.....I need another SSD for games since i'm running out of space already :(

Thinking of putting the 120gb in an older machine i've got and replacing it with another 240+GB ssd
