Buying 1TB HDD

I'm looking at getting the WD Caviar Black but I've noticed there is another 1TB drive available, the RE3.

What are the differences between the 2 and is it worth the extra £57? It will be my OS, games and encoding drive.

The RE3 has extra reliability features and is "officially" raid supported, other than that they're pretty much the same afaik. I'd probably just go with the black.

I'd go for the Black, I have the 750GB version and its lovely.

won't be used for raid, only going in a shuttle and i have a 300gb and a 320gb in there, want to up the space and clear some room for airflow by getting rid of them both. Thanks for clearing that up, I'll get ordering the black this week then. Here looks to be the cheapest and also added fact of quick, free postage and good customer service.
