Hi. I was looking to buy an overclocked system from the website and was looking for a bit of advice. Before it is suggested I have absolutely no desire to overclock myself etc :) .

Was looking for a system exclusively for gaming for about £1000 without windows.

The 2 obvious ones I found were this
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=fs-176-oe&tool=3
with the his ati radeon 6970 graphics card
or....
this
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=fs-041-op&groupid=43&catid=1961&subcat=

one has a slightly better cpu, and one has a slightly better graphics card. i was looking at http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/2011-gaming-graphics-charts/enthusiast-index,2674.html to compare them, but the differences seem so small I can't really make a real judgement or compare the other parts effectively.

Many thanks if you can help.

Couple more questions. Is there any point getting any extra RAM or will it have no effect on gaming at all?

And secondly do you reckon a SSD will be worth it? Does it have any other benefit for gaming other than making the levels load quicker, and won't they load pretty damn fast anyway (compared to what I'm used to I suppose) with the fast processor?

Cheers.

4GB is plenty for gaming, you wont see much improvement by getting extra. Spend the extra dosh on the GPU.

As for SSD, I've seen some say yes and others say no. I think it depends on which games you are playing. Again you might be better spending more on the GPU or other hardware like keyboard & mouse.
