buying a tortoise?

Tortoises are expensive and require a lot of looking after, expect it to pee all over your floor and leave droppings too lol.
We have 2, read up a lot on them and most pet shops will give u rubbish useless and wrong advice. A breeder is best. Have a look at http://www.slowcoach.org.uk/

They're a piece of cake to look after! Back at home my parents have two. They don't cost too much at all after the actual purchase price. Like a lot have said in here, it's best to buy from a proper breeder. If you do let it outside in the summer, keep a close eye on it as they're fantastic diggers and escape artists.
