Going to be looking at buying a logitech driving force GT wheel second hand.
What should I look out for when buying used steering wheels. Not sure what problems to look for and the guy wants £50 for it.

Thank you for any advice. I used my phone to post this so sorry if it looks messy I will correct it when I get home thanks

deadzone issues is the main one, basically when you turn the wheel or push the pedals is there a bit of leeway before input is recognized.

btw if you're cautious because the guy only wants £50, you can buy it new for £80 so its a pretty normal price I'd guess if its been used.

If you are going to buy it in person then plug it into the mains, as the GT calibrates and self -centres at power-up. Listen out for any particularly nasty whines or grumbles in the gearing.

Check the pedals to make sure they travel smoothly, and if required that the adjustable carpet gripper is still present. Look out for any signs of modding to the pedals e.g. Tennis Ball / Squash ball mod which may have been done to improve pedal feel iirc. Not a bad thing, but may indicate owners care and attention to the wheel.

Thanks I will look out and test all them things :)

I did not buy in the end as I have found the some product used but cheaper with warranty

Cheers.
