Decided to go for an iPad and the big purple shop along the road has stock

Is there any benefit from buying direct from apple or anywhere else for that matter? Everywhere seems to be the same price

What comes in the box and would I need to pick up anything else at purchase?

I can't think of a reason why buying direct from Apple would make a difference after the preorder/release stage.

In the box

iPad
Too short sync cable
Plug
Sim ejection tool for 3G version (not sure if this is the case as I didn't get 3G but my iPhone 4 did have one)

I know some people scoff at this but I really wasn't happy till I got a screen protector onto mine. I would never buy anything like that from where you're going but got mine from Amazon.

personally i try and avoid the purple place like the plague but they are the same price as everyone else and its the most convenient place for me to go pick up in regards to actually going to buy

strange that everywhere is selling for the exact same price though ;(

should i look at getting any other accesories than a screen protector?

no they kill supply to anyone discounting, pricefixing is illegal but I don't think terminating supply is clearly.

i sold my 64gb 3g/wifi and bought a 16gb wifi only and I'm glad I did :)

I can get enough music and movies on it to amuse myself for a business trip and the rest of the time its used as an internet machine/portable gaming thing. 16gb is plenty for that.
