Buying Cable for networking

So me and the gf bought a new build around a month ago, its currently being built (roof went on last week), we very much doubt the builder will let us install our own cable, however in the case that they will let us, I want to be ready to get cat6 installed.

Does anyone have any good places to get 2 boxes of cat6? only the pure copper core, none of this CCA or CCAM.

Where abouts are you? Got a lot of either 5e or 6 in my loft from when I did my place, if you're local you're welcome to dip in. Can check the spec if you're interested.

for £400 to do 6 cables at cat5e, not a chance

In that case I'd say either your local electrical place, or somewhere like Farnell (free delivery).

Get yourself an IDC tool and IDC sockets while you're at it, makes life much simpler.
