buying food on ebay!!??

I'd never even thought about buying food from eBay. If it was really even out of laziness, they'd be better off buying online from tesco or asda.

There's some veg place that a few of my friends buy boxes from online, all organic an stuff.

i dont have the best job in the world tho... i work in a call centre (not for much longer) would rather be on the dole. Its the most boring job i have ever done in my life.

Pretty much every american I have met much prefers our chocolate to theirs, i can see that being profitable.
Just like we like mountain dew, kool aid, lucky charms, oreos, etc.

Probably cause that would be illegal... you need to be licensed in order to sell alcohol.

Well, I can't speak for ebay, but a certain number of people in this country find it difficult to actually get to shops.

Elderly people, those without cars, or my sister for example who is a single mum and has a baby who needs 24/7 care and cannot be taken out of the house. She finds it very useful to be able to order her food shopping online and get it delivered.

Which is why they invented online supermarkets.
The guy is asking why would you pay extortionate prices on ebay to buy food you can get from a shop for less.

I guess it depends on how you interpret the OP's question, and whether you would refer to going to an online supermarket as 'going to a shop'.

I think the ebay factor has a lot to do with it. Why would someone pay top dollar for a lot of things on ebay, when if you searched some online shops you can usually get a much better price.
