I have a friend who is going on holiday to USA soon, and is thinking of buying a new gfx card if the price difference is worth it. He would like to know whether a card bought in the US would be compatible with his PC back home in the UK.

thx

i deal a lot in the USA, where abouts is he going and will he be there long enough to order online and have it delivered to where he is staying? if so, he can get some great deals. chances are though if he is staying at a hotel he would have to transfere money to the hotel then get them to use their charge card on his behalf.

i myself bought my CPU from the USA :) amd Venice A3000+ retail, 3 years warrenty, cost me £81 inc postage 6 months ago when they were selling for £126 on OCUK. the amd warrenty means i dont have to send it back to the states if it breaks, it can be sent to any AMD office.
