Evening all

I was wondering if anyone here has purchased large maps of the UK or certain areas before and can point me in the right direction.

Im looking for a large (A3 or bigger) map of the west midlands. Im responsible for marketing for the business that I work for and would like to use the map to mark on our sphere of influence, local cinemas, our competitors etc.

Alternately software that can do this would be great! Google maps does not have this facility right?

In the time it takes you to wait for an answer for this thread, or find a commercial source and have a map delivered, you could probably DIY.

I've done it by using screen grabs and a simple picture editing program.

Is there software I can use for this kind of work rather than an actual map and pins/pen lines?

I made a python script once that scrapes google maps, probably other websites around there now. Gotto be careful what you are going to do with it, if you are doing some, thing commercial then you will probably have to pay some fees.

Do you actually need a print out? Otherwise just make a webpage with google Maps API, pretty easy to figure out.

ArcGIS online would be good for you if you have an understanding of GIS, you might be able to get a free trial. The Desktop software is expensive.

EDIT:

Alternatively you can pay me and I will make your map for you :D (I'm an arcgis developer)
