Buying new luggage

We've got Samsonite and Antler, both good quality but Samsonite are a bit better, bought my 1st shell Samsonite in Vegas last year and it's fantastic so much so the missus wants one now

Never bought expensive ones, some are just nameless ones from Amazon but most are free ones the airlines/baggage handling companies have given me as replacements for ones that have been damaged

I always use tripp ones. I have a small medium and large that all fit inside the large.

The wheels are sturdy and roll well, 5 years and still fully functional.

I bought a pair of Samsonite wheelie cases with a hard shell 12 years ago. They are still going strong and have been used at least 4 times a year (except 2020 and 2021!). I just bought a 3rd Samsonite from the Bicester village outlet.

So, update;

I took the g/f to the airport and pushed her suitcase for her (4 wheeler), but as soon as the floor isn't flat like an airport it was a nightmare to move so would have to tilt and drag on two wheels like a conventional 2 wheeler.
This got me thinking about just grabbing a 2 wheeler, but now can't seem to find with a hard shell. Went to TKMaxx last weekend and they're all 4 wheelers.
So back to the dilemma of 4 vs 2 wheels. 4 wheel hard shell, or 2 wheel soft.

And there lies the issue with wheeled luggage. Plus people tend to over fill them. Nightmare on stairs.

Anyway, hard shell 2 wheels you could always get a pelican case. Bit over kill but it certainly is a hard shell with 2 wheels.
