Buying new Server Ram?

It's difficult to recommend places to buy RAM because most places that can sell you some RAM also sell things that OcUK do - so we aren't allowed to.

What I can tell you is that a few moments ago I found a guaranteed PowerEdge 1800 compatible upgrade (2x 512MB) kit for £54inc VAT & Delivery.
I'll see if I can get away with saying that the company was a "Division of Micron".

The specification of memory module that you want is:

DDR2 PC2-4200 • CL=4 • Registered • ECC • DDR2-533 • 1.8V • 64Meg x 72

If however I've given too much information then I'm up for an enforced holiday from the forums and then I won't be too happy :)
 
Not sure how many pins it has and I'm going to count them either :D

There is another well known memory site you can get 1GB RAM for £46.99 but I can't post the link because technically it would compete with OcUK
 
Thanks guys, its ok we found some in the end. 90 quid including shipping for 2 gig, that should keep it happy for a while
