Does anyone know of any good online retailers for trees? I'm based in the south-east around NW London.

I'm only interested in buying one or two - a silver birch, and maybe a maple or acer.

I'm happy to buy online if the retailer is good.

Just snap a new branch from any tree you like.
Cut it at a 45 degree angle.
stick it in water.
change the water every day, once it has enough roots plant it.

I'ma try and grow a Cedrus libani (cedar of Lebanon) from seed on my balcony :D
got 20 seeds in the fridge stratifying since about a week already.
hopefully I can get one to germinate

I bought a couple of fruit trees last year online. I would have went to a local nursery however I needed to look at a limited number of species in order for them to be suitable for where I am (self fertile and frost hardy) so I ended up going online.

They arrive in great condition so no complaints.

Plus, great to get them delivered rather than trying to stuff them in the car!
