I want a cheap (£60ish) 500gb NVME m.2 SSD for extra storage for non-critical data and i'm considering buying one from the auction place. Almost all of them have come out of a laptop which concerns me a bit but there are some with Crystaldiskinfo screenshots showing 100% health and relatively few reads/writes/hours-on.

Anyone have any thoughts on these types of SSD?

i've bought second hand before but you really need to know how much has been read/write to know whether its worth it.

The corsair MP510 are cracking drives as well, almost one of the fastest but at the same time almost one of the cheapest per Gb.

I'm not sure I'd risk a second hand drive when a reputable drive such as the MP510 is available for not that much more new. I think the warranty situation alone would be enough for me to justify the extra.

I got one second had from one of them shops where you can sell/buy. No problems at all

I've sold a boat loads of lightly used NVMe M.2 drives, not had a single one returned, other than people who bought them thinking they would work in SATA M.2 slots, DOH! :)
