I guess from reading the sticky the correct word is resonating.....

Anyway I have a LL PC V1000 case - very nice it is although not brilliant for cooling (imo).

Since installing a 2nd HDD it buzzes/vibrates rather badly. However removing the disk doesn't stop this. Any good ways of working out where the vibrations are coming from?

:)

Well number 1 cause is you have not put the panel back on properly, if this is the case, then pressing the side panel should stop the vibrations.

If it stops the vibrations, take the panel off, and place back on.

It is literally the only thing on a v1000+ that commonly resonates, and it is pretty hard to get the panel on in a way which it does.

Hopefully that should sort it.

Its really anoying when things like this happen and you cant pinpoint the problem. Try touching your case all over :o and when it stops thats the area you need to look at. This happened to me and it was the front fan that was touching the hdd bay i just tightened the screw up more and it stopped.

good luck

Mark

Try disconnecting the 120mm fans for a minute to see if it stops..And check all the screws or rivets for any that have come loose.
