Hi,

Before Xmas I bought a Core2Duo self build system. I have just noticed a buzzing coming from the computer. I disconnected all the fans and the graphics card, and when I switch the rocker switch on the PSU, a buzzing can be heard. Now its not an annoying buzzing - and I am pretty sure this is just normal electronics buzz - am I right?

Cheers

Possibly a slightly noisy transformer is your psu, transformers can buzz a little. Its not going to break or anything.

The only fix I know is a bodge involving covering the noisy transformer in car filler, i wouldnt recommend it.

Don't open the psu yourself unless your qualified, 350v DC inside even when its switched off, just so u know. ;)

Its an Enermax 620w Modular PSU. Its not annoying. There is a slightly louder buzzing noise coming from the fan on my 7900GS that is a tad louder, but even that is hardly noticeable. Can easily tune out of it.

Just wanted to make sure it was ok to buzz :) Ta
