Buzzing Noise After Ending a Game

There is a very loud and annoying buzzing noise from my speakers whenever I finish any game. This happens as soon as I end any game, for example when the Heroes and Generals game is stopped the buzzing noise enters and doesnt stop until I restart my PC.

So far this buzzing noise increases in volume along with my normal volume, so I can mute it but It is very inconvenient.

My sig has my rig but I don't really know when this started or how I can stop it.. please advise

it is an audio problem... i can scale the noise up and down so it would happen with both speakers and headphones, however only have headphones so cannot test with speakers.

and no, I'm not being pedantic. I ask because headphones use the headphone amp and speakers don't.

Does it happen if you have the output set to HF (Hi-Fi)?
Important as this bypasses the DSP

Hi mate, sorry if I wrote my responses in a way negative, as it was not my intention because you have indeed been the only person to actually offer help!

Consider my problem over as I can't be bothered finding the fix and pretty much know a windows 7 reinstall will fix the problems (I have a few other problems as well) but am reluctant on doing so because I would lose all my firefox passwords, saved data etc.

I've found out this buzzing noise is only apparent on some games, e.g Heroes and Generals as playing Mass Effect 3 was actually not only really smooth but did not have any problems afterwards. Also no this was without Hi Fi.

Sounds as though a DSP feature is not being shut down after the game has finished using it.

I noticed that the background colour of your STX control panel was blue (meaning full release version) so it might be worth trying the latest beta (version 7.0.8.1821) from here:
