hi! hope someone can shed some light/advice on this ..
bought a st75f silverstone strider 750w psu recently (got it friday - installed it saturday) .. anyhow the issue is that it makes a low-level electrical buzzing noise .. it aint audible from a meter away whilst the psu is running but its definately there and you can hear it up close ..
more so the noise persists when i switch my comp off (shutdown) which is annoying as my comp is in my bedroom .. only way to kill the noise is to switch the psu off itself - never had this before with any psu ive had .. which leads me to question whether its a possible defect (failing capacitor, etc??) or part of the psu (one review site mentioned a "mosquite like buzzing noise") ?
just thinking it might be worth getting it replaced before it fails if that might be the case or maybe making a recording and querying it with the place i bought it from or with silverstone ..?
