Buzzing sound when playing games

Hi guys,

My current speakers (Edifier R1600T) have started making a buzzing sound everytime I play audio. It started off when I just played games, but now I am noticing it when playing music etc also, so seems to be getting worse.

I have re attached the cables etc download audio drivers but still I am getting this constant buzzing sound when using them. There is no sound when I am doing nothing on the PC.

Any ideas what it could be? are the speakers on the way out? I have had them about 2 years.
 
Only way you can find out if it is the speakers, is to connect them to something else. MP3 player, smartphone, etc.

Once you've tried them with another device, if it isn't the speakers, then we can go from there. A ground loop is a possibility.
 
You need to start eliminating devices.

Try using a different device to push audio to the speakers, different cable to connect them to the PC, maybe headphones into the PC, etc until you've narrowed it down a bit.
 
Are they only connected to your PC? If you have them connected to something else as well then you probably have a ground loop.
