They take about an hour to settle down to a constant room temperature if you leave them alone.

Temps start off about 100C then within 30 mins virtually all of that heat is efficiently dissipated.

Can you make a normal size mug with the XL texture? Mine fell off the side and broke but I found it was too big, it went cold before I could finish it

I'm more interested in how the mug materials affects the flavour and taste of tea. Some mugs can make tea taste quite bland - so for this reason I tend to prefer bone china.
