Yeah its actually still in Alpha pretty much as most people who bought The Ultimate Collection included closed beta access but barely anyone has got in yet. I reckon it'll be released next year most likely. Another title runied by EA.
 
This tread makes me feel guilty by not playing my alpha install more. only played it once since I got key. just not got the time to invest like I did with the first generals game, was doing A levels or high school then .

The one time I played it did seem good!
 
They're supposedly having a real crack at making it an "e-sports" title to compete with Starcraft 2. Let's hope it's not a pile of turd!
 
EA + F2P + Browser based = micro transaction model
No thanks, call me when they remember what CNC is supposed to be

Hell, they could re-release CNC1 with updated graphics, multiplayer and a couple extra missions, and it would probably out-sell the more recent titles by a large margin even if they left all the tech the same.. feels a bit like with traditional rts of this type we're experiencing a dry spell (sc2 being a rare exeption to the rule)

They just use the 'C&C' name to help sell the games they make. Generals has nothing to do with the C&C universe other than it being a strategy game. This next one will probably star Obama as one of the generals.
