C.V - First or Third person?

Including interests isn't necessarily a negative thing. In focused industries where it's quite easy to become defined by your job (i.e. finance) a lot of hiring managers like to see that candidates actually have a life outside of work.

lol at all these 'statements'. Half of them are fragments that are annoying to read (poor English) anyway.

Third person on CV is an old thing, maybe it is coming back into fashion, but I wont ever use it.

Indeed, for example:

Solid technical and fault finding abilities.
Fully committed to and experienced
in supporting clients and systems. A
confident communicator, comfortable
working both remotely or on-site within
a help desk environment

That's not third person though.

But when you receive 300-500 CVs for a role you need to have a quick (likely superficial) method of narrowing them down ;)

maybe for Mcdonalds, but the jobs i need staff for, require a specific set of skill and experiences, regarding tax. I let the Agency and HR filter out the dross, and send me on those which i should scrutinise.

whats second person ? multiple personality ?
you could give arguments where one personality is better for this job than your other ones :D

Second person would be writing from the perspective of someone talking directly to the person the CV is written about. E.g. "You are hard working..."

Now that would be special.

Surely only Craig David has a CV in third person? :)

Definately first person for me. You don't have to start every sentence with 'I did/I was' which does indeed sound like a primary school kid writing his 'what I did at the weekend' essay. For example: 'This role involved...', 'As part of the team for...', 'During...' etc etc. I do also have a company CV, however, which has an introduction written in the third person, used by the company when staff CVs are attached to tenders, or when they try to pimp us out on secondments, etc. That's the only time I'd consider a third person CV appropriate and not horribly pretentious.
