Hi Folks,

I'm looking at undertaking driver training so that I can obtain the C1 and D1 entitlements on my driving licence.

Can anyone recommend a company near Glasgow that deliver this training?

I've had one company called CTTS recommended so far, and they're after £1052 for both categories, this includes a five day course, theory test, support and of course the final examination.

Was hoping to get a few other recommendations so that I can compare prices and then ultimately make a decision.

GP is also after £85 for the D4 medical examination which gets sent off to the DVLA.

Costly business, only wish I had taken my test before the 1st January 1997 and I wouldn't have to worry about any of this. :)

When you add the provisional voc categories to your licence using the D2 form, get them all- c1, c, d1 and d - better to have them and not use them than have to pay for another medical to add them in the future.

Thanks for the replies guys. :)

I'll check out the two links now.

How long do the provisional categories stay on your licence?

As I'll only initially be paying for the C1/D1, and not the C/D. But I see what you're saying in terms of avoiding future medical costs.
